Configuring Hi-Fi for kitchen listening

Introduction

This page describes how to configure the Hi-Fi for kitchen and living room listening.

Procedure

  1. On the amplifier, make sure the “POWER” button is on.
  2. Start WRA/music/whatever.
  3. If using WRA then wait 60 seconds for the mplayer cache to fill.
  4. If you want to listen in the living room then complete the following sub-procedure:
    1. On the amplifier, switch the “SPEAKERS A” button on.
    2. On the amplifier, switch the “INPUT SELECTOR” to “TAPE-1/DAT”.
    3. On the amplifier, turn the “VOLUME” up.
  5. If you want to listen in the kitchen then complete the following sub-procedure:
    1. On the amplifier, make sure the “REC OUT SELECTOR” is set to “TAPE 1 -> 2”
    2. On the transmitter, verify that the red LED is illuminated.
    3. On the remote speaker, switch the power on.
    4. On the remote speaker, turn the volume up.
    5. On the remote speaker, verify that the front LED is green; if it is not then slowly turn the signal tuning thumbwheel on its back until the LED turns green.
  6. You should now hear sound.
