Introduction

This page describes the installation of sugo, which is one of my login servers.

Procedure

1. Back up the following things:
   1. guest’s home
   2. guest’s crontab
   3. root’s ssh keypair
   4. anything important/painful from /scratch (e.g. Firefox profiles; fake GPS directory)
2. Complete Installing Debian 11 on a PM or KVM VM.
3. Manually create a scratch partition (it is not needed on ragu and is created on non-SSD disk, which should be added to vg0)
4. Selectively restore the things backed up earlier.
5. Tailor the login environment as per configuring desktop environment.
6. Complete Installing Viper Racing.
7. Complete Finalising a Linux installation.
