Inn

Introduction

The Inn cycle path (also known as Inntal cycle path) leads from Maloja in Switzerland via Innsbruck in Austria to Passau in Germany. This page details a shorter 410Km route from Mayrhofen, descending the Zillertal valley to join the Inn river near Jenbach, looping around Chiemsee lake, and then continuing to Passau.

Our plan was to cycle the distance in 6 days (average 69Km/day) without rest days. In reality, we cycled 444Km in 6 days (average 74Km/day).

The Good, the bad and the ugly

  • good: pretty flat path but a lot of mountain views (Suzie)
  • good: good swimming but not really in Chiemsee (Suzie)
  • ugly: Forellesulze (Alexis)
